UniVPN is virtual private networking for human beings. It works
from behind most firewalls, utilizing a global service that helps
to build up the connection.
- The software and the protocol are open source, which means the system
is secure: the central server only helps in routing encrypted data,
but has no means to decrypt or in any way compromise it.
- UniVPN not only helps configuring the systems, but also tries
everything possible to maintain secure data flow: if no inbound
connection is possible at any of the clients machines, it routes data
through the central UniVPN server. If there is no way to configure
the routing by policy, a GUI UniVPN client is able to handle samba and
nfs shares, can provide a terminal and maybe a VNC view of the other
computers in the group.
- there should be no way to use our service as a general open relay
